Chapter 505 - 504: I Wish I Had Never Met You
Chapter 505 - 504: I Wish I Had Never Met You
Mrs. Sinclair sobbed for a while before whispering, "Bella, can you give mom some more time?"
"Mom, you’ve been through a lot." Bea knew that her mother was already choosing to make concessions for her brother’s sake.
"What on earth did I do in my past life to deserve this, wooo..." Mrs. Sinclair thought of the sorrowful points and began to weep again.
Bea comforted her for a long time before taking her away once her emotions had calmed down.
Bella Acker fled far away in a panic before stopping, holding her waist and panting heavily.
She breathed in gasps, wiping away the tears on her face with her hand, but the more she wiped, the more they came.
The tears flowed like a breached dam, unstoppable.
Unable to wipe them away, she simply stopped trying.
Bella Acker widened her eyes, watching her tears drop onto the ground one by one.
"Screech!" A cross-country motorcycle suddenly braked, but the strong momentum still pushed Bella Acker down to the ground.
"Hey, standing in the middle of the road at night trying to get yourself killed? Damn, what bad luck!" The rider, a young man with pink hair, cursed irritably, and rode away without checking if Bella Acker was hurt.
Bella Acker sat on the ground, tears blurring her vision, taking a while to regain her senses.
She gradually pulled her legs together, hugged them with her arms, buried her head on her knees, and finally began to sob audibly.
Since she found out that her dad was responsible for Damian’s brother’s death, she knew there was no chance between her and Damian.
But she didn’t want to let go just like that, deceiving herself while waiting for an outcome.
It was as if as long as she kept waiting in place, there would still be hope between her and Damian.
She didn’t even dare try calling Damian anymore, fearing that the moment the call connected, it would mercilessly pierce her self-deception.
She was like a fool trapped in a self-imposed prison.
But now, it seemed like she really should wake up.
Damian was about to become a dad, and there truly was no future for them.
From now on, he would be someone else’s husband, a responsible good father, and her?
What would become of her?
Bella Acker felt lost and helpless. Aunt Sienna was dying, she was about to lose the relative who had cared for her since childhood, and now she had also lost her only love. What would her future hold?
So tired.
Why did she have to live with such fatigue, as if each step forward required exhausting all her life’s energy just to grit her teeth and not give up.
She didn’t know how much longer she could hold on, nor did she know when she might collapse.
She was terrified of waking up one day in the future and not even being able to remember Damian’s name.
"Wooo... Damian, it would’ve been better if I never met you." Bella Acker sobbed and muttered to herself.
If she hadn’t met him, or fallen in love with him, would she not be suffering so much now?
If time could turn back and everything could start over, would she still want to meet him, know him, and love him?
Would she?
Bella Acker suddenly looked up, supporting herself on the asphalt road to stand, staggering a few steps, and stumbling back toward the direction where she met Damian earlier.
From an unknown point in time, a drizzling rain had begun falling from the sky. Bella Acker ran back to the place where she had met Damian, trying to discern a direction in the dim light, kneeling down to look for the ring she had put down earlier.
She searched and searched, as the rain grew heavier, yet still couldn’t find it.
"It was right here, why can’t I find it, wooo..."
