Easton Holmes, sitting on Lily Turner’s other side, heard the conversation between Athena Linton and Lily. Just like Lily, he didn’t really believe Athena’s explanation just now; he had noticed the change in her expression earlier.
Although Easton suspected Athena was lying, he didn’t say anything. He acted as if he hadn’t heard their conversation at all and didn’t even turn his head to look at her.
The few elders were chatting away and didn’t notice what Athena and Lily were talking about at all, continuing with their own topic.
Even though Athena was fuming inside over those fans’ nonsense, she didn’t show it on the surface. She quickly returned to her previous state, chatting and laughing with Lily as if nothing had happened.
The atmosphere in the private room remained harmonious; nothing had changed because of what was happening online.

"We’re going straight home after we eat. We’re all going home together to keep Grandpa company while he watches the Spring Festival Gala."
The moment Athena opened her mouth, Serena Zimmerman immediately realized this girl was about to drag Lily out to fool around. It scared a sweat out of her. Without caring about anything else, she hurriedly cut her daughter off.
Being suddenly interrupted by her own mom, Athena was displeased. "Going home to watch the Spring Festival Gala is so boring. I want to take Goddess sis to meet my friends and hang out."
All these years, she’d never properly watched the Spring Festival Gala. In her mind, the Gala was for old people. Young people like her should be out finding other entertainment.
"If you want to play, go play by yourself. Don’t drag your sister-in-law along. Your sister-in-law can’t get along with you crazy girls and those rowdy boys." Serena knew Athena wanted to take Lily to meet her friends, so before Athena could even finish, she directly cut her off. But this girl clearly had no intention of behaving herself, which really gave her a headache.
At those words, Athena blurted out in retort, "How is Goddess sis not able to hang with us?"
She just wanted to show off Goddess sis to her friends—Lily the goddess was her sister-in-law—so they’d finally believe her. They hadn’t believed her before and had even said she was bragging.
"Athena! I’ll go out and play with you next time. Right now, in my condition, I really can’t keep you company." Lily spoke up before Serena. Since Serena was stopping it, she wouldn’t go out with Athena either.
Right now she had this big belly. If she got recognized by fans and something happened that accidentally hurt the baby in her stomach, she would be heartbroken. Not just her—her grandpa and her husband would also be devastated.
Athena looked down at Lily’s big, rounded belly and let out a sigh that was both disappointed and helpless. "Ugh! Goddess sis! When is the baby in your belly finally going to come out?"
Because of the baby in Goddess sis’s belly, they couldn’t go anywhere. She practically wished she could reach in and yank the little one out.
"In another four months. Why, are you really looking forward to our little baby being born?" Sitting right next to her, Lily heard Athena’s sigh. She knew this girl thought the baby in her belly was in the way, so she pretended not to get it and looked at the little girl beside her with a smile.
Athena smiled, but it was a very forced smile. "Of course. Then I can take him—or her—out to play."
Take the little one out to play? Yeah right. No way was she letting a tiny kid tag along with her—constant wailing would be so annoying.
