Chapter 361 - 333: A Wealth of Talent
Chapter 361 - 333: A Wealth of Talent
[Extraordinary Silver Bobbit Worm: ★★☆☆☆]: Level 2 Sharp Beak, Level 1 Corrosive Gastric Fluid, Level 1 Silver Bloodline
A Bobbit Worm only as thick as a man’s arm could be four or five meters long, but the one before him was as thick as a man’s torso... Its length probably exceeded ten meters.
Sure enough, as it crawled out of its burrow, its countless sharp claws, like steel knives, dug into the walls. The sturdy scales on its back no longer had an iridescent sheen, but were a pure, brilliant silver.
Its claws, its beak, its entire body—every part was the same color.
It looked less like a living creature and more like a statue cast from silver.
The Fishman Leader’s expression turned grim. It sensed a powerful threat from the worm.
’This is no ordinary worm!’
BAM!
Mogu vanished from his spot and slammed a heavy fist into the Silver Bobbit Worm.
The Silver Bobbit Worm’s entire body was driven into the wall. The point of impact caved in, covered in a dense web of cracks.
Even so, after taking such a blow, it wasn’t dead. It just shook its head and scrambled toward the nearest hole.
Mogu grabbed its tail and flung it backward.
The Silver Bobbit Worm crashed to the ground. It coiled its body, then, sensing something, darted toward the nearest opening in the floor.
That’s right—the inner walls were riddled with holes on all sides, top to bottom, left to right.
The Fishman Leader reached out and grabbed its tail, but the Silver Bobbit Worm, having taken only two steps, whipped its head around and viciously snapped at it.
’I don’t dare bite him, but you think I don’t dare bite you?’
The Fishman Leader reacted instantly, letting go and taking half a step back.
Mogu closed the distance in a flash, stomped on its spine, and pressed down.
He snapped its spine.
The Silver Bobbit Worm writhed feebly on the ground.
"It’s tough. Almost as tough as a Thousand-Eyed Snake," Mogu commented.
Qin Ziwen couldn’t help but glance again at the writhing worm. That was high praise. The Thousand-Eyed Snake was a four-star creature, a full two stars higher than this worm.
"Kill it," Qin Ziwen said.
They still had to travel through this undersea area, and this Silver Bobbit Worm seemed far more ferocious than the previous ones.
’Probably only Mogu could handle it so easily. Judging by its speed and reactions, even if the Fishman Leader and I could subdue it, it would have been a real struggle.’
"Alright." Mogu applied more force this time, grabbing its head and neck and giving it a sharp twist.
Its head was twisted like a pretzel, nearly wrenched clean off.
"Hm?" Mogu released his grip. As he had twisted its head, a fang had actually managed to prick his palm, leaving a small wound.
Qin Ziwen gained a new appreciation for its ferocity.
’Of course, the creature was ferocious, but it was also quite large. Qin Ziwen estimated that if they took it back and boiled it down, they could probably harvest a few drops of Silver Blood.’
’It had a dedicated Silver Bloodline ability, after all. The concentration in its blood was bound to be high.’
The group of three continued forward. Qin Ziwen could feel that something was hiding in the surrounding holes.
However, perhaps intimidated by the Silver Bobbit Worm’s corpse that Mogu was carrying, these hidden things didn’t dare to show themselves.
Finally, after another ten minutes or so of walking, the path ahead suddenly opened up.
Qin Ziwen stopped in his tracks, stunned by the sight before him.
Ahead was an incredibly spacious cavern.
Inside the cavern, countless "roots" crisscrossed, some as thick as pythons, others as fine as a web.
They resembled the intricate, inverted root system of a stone tree, all converging at the very center where a massive stone sphere floated.
The stone sphere was about ten meters in diameter, its surface covered in impossibly fine spiral patterns.
Directly beneath the sphere was a pool of clear water.
They were clearly at the bottom of the sea, yet the water in the pool was distinctly separate from the surrounding seawater, like water within water. A faint white miasma clung to the surface of this inner pool.
Visible to the naked eye, a dozen or so large Silver Bobbit Worms roamed the bottom of this inner pool. Even the smallest among them was larger than the one they had just killed.
The most eye-catching of them all was a majestic figure as massive as a white dragon.
Its length alone was estimated to be no less than thirty meters.
Furthermore, two long, slender white whiskers had sprouted from its head.

Mogu stared at it for a long moment, then his gaze shifted upward, settling on the cavern’s ceiling. Hanging upside down was a grayish-white, chilling figure whose color blended almost perfectly with the surrounding rock wall.
Its legs were spread wide, comparable in size to a small building, and it was fused as one with its surroundings.

And floating in the water around them were numerous translucent, bell-shaped jellyfish.
These jellyfish weren’t large; the small ones were only palm-sized, while the larger ones were three to four meters wide. The biggest of all was a full ten meters wide. It was like a tree, with all the other jellyfish attached to its underside, sheltering within its bell.
[Extraordinary Spiritual Sheath Jellyfish: ★★★☆☆]: Level 3 Neurotoxicity, Level 3 Hemotoxicity
’Its Star Level seems the lowest, but this thing looks the most toxic.’
’Extraordinary Creatures that are extremely rare in the outside world are commonplace here. What a gathering of talent.’
The arrival of Qin Ziwen and his companions didn’t seem to have attracted the attention of the other creatures in the cavern.
They were each preoccupied with their own business.
Under the water, the Bobbit Worms swam about on their own.
The jellyfish floating in the middle, meanwhile, were huddled under the largest one’s bell, extending their long tentacles into the surrounding stone-like root network and siphoning a faint, milky-white substance.
As for the spider at the very top, it remained motionless, all alone, as if it were asleep.
Qin Ziwen shot a look at the Fishman Leader. ’Don’t tell me you brought us here to hunt *these* Extraordinary Creatures. Thanks a bunch.’
’There are a lot of Extraordinary Creatures here, sure, but this is way too fucking many!’
’And every single one of them looks like a pain in the ass to deal with. Plus, making too much of a commotion might attract the attention of the others.’
"There’s something good inside that stone sphere in the middle, but..."
’...but why is this so different from what was recorded on the stone slate?!’
’The slate did mention there were some monsters here.’
’But it said there was a "five-meter" spider, a jellyfish three or four meters wide, and a group of long white worms in the water that were ten meters long at most.’
’It said that as long as you were quick, there wasn’t much danger.’
’Oh no. This slate was inscribed decades ago.’
’Could it be that... in the decades since, they’ve all grown up?’
"I can smell it." Mogu ignored the other creatures. His gaze was locked intently on the stone sphere in the center, because ever since entering this place, he could feel the blood in his veins thrumming with excitement, with a tremor of anticipation.
Something inside that sphere was calling to him.
