Chapter 320 - 257: Arrived Home
...
「10:00 PM.」
By now, the staff had ended their busy day, and the tourists had enjoyed the various activities to the fullest. Everyone was about done for the day, a hint of weariness setting in as they prepared to return to their cabins or tents to rest. The entire camp gradually fell silent.
Suddenly, lights flickered on in the wooden cabin—the tallest building in the camp.
The cabin’s lights had rarely been on since the Crown Lord had left.
On any other day, it stood there quietly, a silent guardian witnessing the people coming and going in the camp, but it rarely showed such signs of life.
Now that its lights were on, the people in the camp who were still awake couldn’t help but turn and stare, their gazes filled with curiosity.
Jenny finished her busy day at the restaurant. After giving instructions to the night shift staff, she dragged her weary body outside.
She walked on, gently kneading her sore shoulders while her mind was already running through the ingredients she needed to prepare for the next day.
Just as she reached the door, she saw a few staff members standing there, looking up and pointing in a certain direction with curious expressions.
Jenny couldn’t help but follow their curious gazes. The moment she saw what they were looking at, a joyful surprise lit up her face.
The cabin, which was usually dark, was now lit up, its glow particularly dazzling against the night sky.
In Crown Camp, everyone knew that if the cabin’s lights were on, it meant Feng Mountain was back.
The thought of Feng Mountain’s return filled her with an indescribable joy, and the heavy weariness she felt just moments ago vanished without a trace.
Her eyes filled with delight, Jenny immediately picked up her pace and hurried toward the cabin.
The same scene played out, as if replicated, in every corner of the camp.
Yves had been sitting in front of his cabin, staring into the night sky while pondering the plans for the next day’s tourist excursions. When he saw the light, his eyes lit up, and he scrambled to his feet.
David had just finished inspecting the turbine generator and was stepping out of the electrical room. When he saw the light in that familiar place, a smile instantly broke across his face, and his pace quickened with urgency.
Erica, Maria, Tammy, Demi...
And so, people began to converge from all the different paths in the camp. The air filled with their laughter and cheerful chatter. Every face was alight with a happy smile, everyone eager to see Feng Mountain.
When the crowd, filled with anticipation, pushed open the heavy wooden door of the cabin, a wave of warmth mixed with a hint of a familiar scent rushed over them.
They eagerly rushed through the entryway and into the living room, where they immediately spotted a familiar figure—it was Feng Mountain.
He was crouched before the fireplace, carefully adding logs to the flames. As he prodded the fire, the flames grew, illuminating his face in a scene that felt exceptionally warm and welcoming.
Hearing the commotion behind him, Feng Mountain turned around and immediately saw a group of familiar faces.
A happy smile instantly bloomed across his face, one filled with sincere joy and a comforting sense of peace. He then opened his arms wide.
"Hey, guys, I’m back!"
WHOO!!
Erica and the other young women couldn’t contain their excitement. They let out a cry and, like cheerful little birds, swarmed Feng Mountain, hugging him tightly and chattering away about how much they had missed him.
Jenny watched the lively, heartwarming scene, a happy, contented smile on her face. It was as if she were watching a beautiful family reunion.
Meanwhile, Yves, David, and Feng Jun simply stood to the side, chuckling with big, goofy grins on their faces. While not as effusive as the young women, the joy in their eyes was impossible to hide. They, too, were sincerely happy to have Feng Mountain back.
Feng was back!
